2015 was a breakthrough year for some and a trying one for some. Good news is 2016 is here, new beginnings, new dreams, new wishes, New Year resolution, and new goals in life.
Symbolically, everyone gets to start with a clean slate.
Here’s my take on 3 things you can start doing for 2016:
- Learn a new skill. We’re in 2016 and you can find almost all resources on the internet. I learned how to skate and play the ukulele through Youtube, I have an article too on how to acquire a new skill.
- Continue doing what you are good at. We each have one thing that we are really good at; do it more often and keep on getting better at it. If you still don’t know what you are good at, I suggest you ask people that are close to you; your spouse, your boss, your peers, and your officemates. That should give you an idea. Remember, to be an expert at something, you need to do it.
- Think two steps ahead. Change is inevitable, life happens, and we can never predict what happens tomorrow. To be practical this coming your have an emergency fund (start saving), have a backup plan in case you lose your job (especially those who work online), and invest in yourself (learn something new or master skill).
Hopefully, your 2016 is going to be way better than 2015. We may not have full control of what is going to happen but we can always influence the outcome.
